Prioritizing Optimization to Drive Marketplace Performance

PROJECT DETAILS

Overview

Users were overwhelmed with content optimization opportunities across hundreds or thousands of product listings. There was no clear way to prioritize what to fix first, leading to inaction and missed revenue potential.

Problem

Through feedback, interviews, and usage data, we discovered:

-Users didn’t know which listings were hurting performance the most

-The optimization tool lacked prioritization—everything looked equally important

-This led to decision paralysis and low adoption of our content tools

Key Insight:
Users wanted to act but lacked clarity and confidence about where to start.

Goal:

Design a solution that surfaces high-priority optimization opportunities so users can act faster, improve product visibility, and drive traffic, conversion, and revenue.

Context

Our platform helps brands optimize content across various eCommerce marketplaces. While we had tools to make updates, users—both internal teams and external brand partners—struggled to know where to start. With hundreds of products, they needed a way to prioritize which listings would deliver the greatest impact.
